      St. Mary's first Adult Kairos retreat will take place January 16-17, 2010 at St. Mary of the Lake Retreat and Conference Center in Mundelein, Illinois.  The retreat will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 16th and will end around 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 17th . This retreat, just like the youth retreat of the same name, will be a powerful and effective spiritual renewal process for those who participate.  We are calling together members of the parish to present and attend this retreat in order to deepen their relationships with Jesus Christ and to experience parish-based Christian community.  The weekend will include opportunities to participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation and to attend Mass in a unique and intimate environment.
 
      Unlike similar retreat models such as Christ Renews His Parish (CRHP) and Cursillo, we will not be having separate retreat weekends for men and women. We plan to welcome both men and women over the age of thirty to our Adult Kairos retreat.  This will make us one of the only parishes in the Archdiocese of Chicago to offer such an experience.
